True poetic evocations of climates, the works presented in the exhibition illustrate the parts of the natural and the artificial that we project there today, the symbolisms attached to them and those that the contemporary world has subsequently created. The question of artificiality is thus posed. Man’s illusionist desire to produce images identical to that of nature rubs shoulders with the idea of being able to tame nature, suggesting a desire as poetic as utopian to imagine a new way of living on Earth.

Véritables évocations poétiques de climats, les œuvres présentées dans l’exposition illustrent les parts de naturel et d’artificiel que nous y projetons aujourd’hui, les symboliques qui y ont été attachées et celles que le monde contemporain a créées ensuite. La question de l’artificialité est ainsi posée. La volonté illusionniste de l’homme de produire des images identiques à celle de la nature côtoie l’idée de pouvoir dompter la nature laissant entrevoir une volonté aussi poétique qu’utopique d’imaginer une nouvelle occupation de la Terre.
